Our chains are gold plated. All our gold-plated jewellery is made from a brass base coated with a minimum 3 micron plating in 18-carat gold, to make your accessories precious, shiny and long-lasting.

Most gold jewellery is plated with 0.3 microns of gold. Ours is plated with 3 microns of 18-carat gold. Ten times as much.

Will gold-plated items turn black or rub off?
No. Our jewellery is 18-carat gold-plated with a minimum thickness of 3 microns on a brass base, well above the standards for costume jewellery. It does not tarnish, does not turn the skin green, and comes with a 1-year guarantee.
Can I wear it in the shower or at the seaside?
Yes, our jewellery is waterproof and can be worn every day: in the shower, at the beach, and whilst exercising. To keep it looking its best for as long as possible, simply avoid direct contact with perfume.
How does engraving work?
Choose a piece of jewellery to be engraved, enter your text (a first name, a date, a sweet message) and select the font. Your jewellery is engraved using a diamond tip in our workshop in France, then dispatched within 48 hours.
What are the delivery times?
Your order is dispatched within 48 hours from our workshop and delivered within 3 to 5 working days in France. Delivery is free on orders of €75 or more.
What if the size isn’t right?
You have 14 days to exchange or return your jewellery. Please check our size guide before ordering to ensure you get it right first time. Only jewellery that has been engraved at your request cannot be returned.
It’s a gift: what’s the packaging like?
Each piece of jewellery arrives in its Joyamada jewellery box with its organic cotton pouch, ready to give as a gift. You don’t need to do a thing.
